Effects of Shading and Mulching on Growth and Flower Quality of ´ Baegkwang ´ Chrysanthemums

Abstract

|
In order to improvement cultivation technique of ´Baegkwang´ chrysanthemums (Dendranthema×grandiflorum), shading and mulching treatment were carried out according to planting time. At the planting block on May 10, under reflective film than other films condition with 30% or 50% shading treatment, the cut flower and marketable yield increased. An increased shading tended to delay the flowering time. At the planting block on June 4, marketable yield was higher in reflective film regardless of shading intensity, and increased shading tended to delay the flowering time. The yield of cut flower yield planted on June 4 tended to the less than that on May 10.
